1. Ranking for Branded Keyword: The biggest challenge for us was to make sure there were no competitors using the exact match phrase for our brand Flavours of Digital. Sadly, there was one that was ranking for this specific keyword.
2. Handling Calls From GMB Listing: The process of tracking down which lead came from which source has been our core foundation with Analytical Wolf LLC. But previously we didn’t have any automation integrated with Flavours of Digital at that time. It made things worse when after few months Google ranked us for the exact match keyword and people in the county started calling us. It was tough to track which lead called and what conversation we had before.
3. The third challenge was to redirect traffic from GMB Listing to a funnel page, we could have used a better and easy solution like a one-time page builder out there, but choose to go by the future-proofing route, that is to create a website for the business.
Installing WordPress
We choose WordPress over any other page builder because of flexibility factors. Optimizing each post using the Yoast SEO plugin has definitely helped us to rank higher not only on Google searches but also on Google Map Listing. On top of that, we already knew a lot about WordPress and didn’t want to focus on any other tool.
Note: Using just Yoast SEO had nothing to do with ranking on Google, it’s a tool that has helped us to write SEO-friendly meta description, slug, and title tags for each page post.
Added Weekly Posts
Our primary focus was to rank on Google Maps for certain keywords that were getting traffic on the page posts.
